Tail-Piping: Specific to atomizers, this is when a user takes a vape directly off of an atomizer without a drip tip or a cartridge.

Tank: A special type of cartridge that holds considerably more liquid than cartridges with filler. Usually used with a cartomizer and sometimes an atomizer. You just fill them up with liquid and vape.

TH: abbreviation for Throat Hit.

THR: abbreviation for Tobacco Harm Reduction.

Three Piece E-Cigarette: A specific style of electronic cigarette combining a battery, atomiser and cartridge.

Throat Hit:(TH) Throat hit is the sensation that is felt in the back of the throat when inhalation is taken from the mouth down the throat. Some factors to the throat hit felt are, the nicotine level used, and or the quality of the e-liquid. Higher levels of nicotine generally give a greater throat hit. Personal vaping habits or techniques are also factors for throat hit.

TOB: An abbreviation referring to tobacco flavouring in e-liquid.

Tobacco Harm Reduction: (THR) Policy or practice of providing less harmful nicotine-containing products.

Topping Off: Adding a few drops of e-liquid onto a cartridge or cartomizer or tank is called topping off.

Toot: Another term used to describe the pull or to draw from your electronic cigarette

Triple-Coil Cartomizer: A newer type of cartomizer that employs three coils providing about 1.6ohms of resistance. These babies vape strong, slightly more so than dual-coils, and come in several sizes and may hold anywhere from 1.5ml to 3.5ml of juice. Generally recommended for 6v vaping.

Two Hole / Four Hole Atomiser: A designation referring to the number of air intake holes built into an atomiser; some people prefer one over the other in terms of its simulation of smoking tobacco cigarettes.

Two Piece E-Cigarette: A specific style of electronic cigarette combining a battery and a cartomiser.

Unflavored E-Liquid: An E-liquid combining a base liquid and nicotine, but no flavoring.

Unprotected vs. Protected Batteries & Devices: Protected batteries and devices will contain protection circuits. This circuit is designed to stop the battery from charging or discharging or the device from working in certain circumstances. These circumstances can include over-charging, over-discharging, short-circuit, and overheating.

Vape: The electronic version of “to smoke”. Refers to as such because of water vapor produced when e-liquid is heated by the atomizer.

Vape Butter: The sticky residue that builds up on an atomiser; caused by continually overfilling cartridges or improperly mixing your own e-liquid.

Vapegasm: That experience you get when you put on a new atomizer or cartomizer. That first taste you get from your favorite e-liquid. That point when you find your perfect juice, perfect voltage, and discover your sweet spot.

Vapemail: After numerous days of online tracking and mailbox check, this is the delivered parcel or envelope containing vaping hardware and or e-liquid.

Vapemeister: Someone who possesses a lot of knowledge in the area of vaping.

Vapeology: A slang term used to note the specific vocabulary and terminology of vaping.

Vaper: A person who vapes. A smoker smokes. A Vaper vapes.

Vaping: The act of using an electronic cigarette. Power is supplied to the heating element which vaporizes the e-liquid and vapor is then taken into the lungs and provides the sensation of smoking along with nicotine if it is present in the e-liquid.

Vapoholic: A term to denote someone who vapes incessantly, the point of compulsion.

Vapor: The water vapor that is produced when the liquid is heated by the atomizer or coil.

Vapor Cigarette: A term used to refer to an electronic cigarette. This term is used commonly due to the water vapor that is exhaled when using an e-cig.

Vapor Production: Typically associated with Juices. Indicates how much vapor is produced using an average inhale of an e-cigarette.

Vaporama: The practice of getting together with other vapers to sample one another’s VJs

Vapor, Throat Hit, Flavor: represent the vaping experience given by a device or an e-liquid.

Vaporer: you are consider a vaporer if you use electronic cigarettes

Vaporizer: The Vaporizer turns a liquid into a gas or vapor. Another term used for electronic cigarette, e-cig, PV, etc.

Variable Voltage: Variable Voltage (VV) allows you to control how many volts your device will produce. With a variable voltage e-cig, you have the ability to dial in the voltage by a click of a button or sequence. A typical voltage range for variable voltage is 3.0volts – 6.0volts and VV device’s can change these volt settings in .01 increments.

Variable Wattage: Variable Wattage (VW) allows you to control how many watts your device will produce. Variable wattage will allow you to set the wattage, no matter what resistance atomizer or cartomizer you use with the device. Variable Power (VP) is also used to describe variable wattage.

VHR/VHV: abbreviation for Very high resistance / very high voltage

Vegetable Glycerol/Vegetable Glycerin: (Abbreviated as VG) – An ingredient found in many brands of E-Juice. This is one of the ingredients used that when heated will produce vapor that can be inhaled. Typically, VG produces more vapor than it’s PG counterpart but provides less flavor and Throat Hit. Some users who are allergic to Propylene Glycol must use 100% VG Juices.

Vent Holes: Vent holes appear on the bottom of electronic cigarettes and mods. These holes allow battery gases to vent in the event of a battery failure.

VG: Vegetable Glycerin, is a water soluble liquid that is also used in food, cosmetics and medicines.

VJ: An acronym for vape juice; this is another term for e-liquid.

Voltage: Volts are supplied to the atty/carto from the battery. Most devices, such as the EGO supply approximately 3.7V. High voltage devices can supply between 5-6 volts. Variable Voltage devices allow you to adjust the output voltage. This varies between devices, but usually somewhere between 3V up to 6V. Multi-voltage devices provide pre-determined voltage setting. For example, a low setting could be 3.7V, a medium setting could be 4.5V, a high setting could be 6V.

VTF: Abbreviation for Vapor, Throat Hit, Flavor

VV/VW: Some advanced personal vaporizers, incorporate both variable voltage and variable wattage features.

Wadding: Another term to describe the filler material inside a cartridge which holds the juice.

Watt(s): Watts is a measurement of power which is the function of the voltage of your electronic cigarette or mod and the resistance of your atomizer or cartomizer. Watts = Voltage (squared) of your device divided by the resistance of your atomizer or cartomizer.

Wick: A wick is an absorbent material that is used in many different styles of atomizers. A type of poly or silica string or number of strings is often used for the wicking. (Wicking) also refers to the act of directing the e-liquid from the container to the heating element.

Wicking: The process by which e-liquid is drawn from the cartridge into the atomiser coil.

Zero Nic: A term to designate e-liquid with absolutely no nicotine added.
